Hims & Hers Health reports Q2 revenue growth amid margin pressure

Hims & Hers Health reported second-quarter 2026 revenue of approximately $753 million, a 38% increase year-over-year, exceeding market expectations. The company also saw its subscriber base grow by 19% to nearly 2.9 million. Despite the revenue growth, the company reported a net loss of $0.37 per share, which was wider than the $0.01 loss analysts had anticipated.

The decline in profitability is attributed to an aggressive expansion into branded GLP-1 weight-loss drugs and international markets, which increased operational and restructuring costs. Chief Financial Officer Yemi Okupe noted that gross margins are expected to remain below historical levels as the company continues to invest in these growth areas.

In response to the strong top-line performance, Hims & Hers raised its full-year 2026 revenue guidance to a range of $3.1 billion to $3.3 billion. However, the company's stock faced downward pressure due to concerns over shrinking margins and a lawsuit filed by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), which analysts suggest creates a significant legal overhang for the business.
