Hindu communities celebrate Janmashtami in Bengaluru and Cairns

Hindu communities in Bengaluru and Cairns held celebrations for Shri Krishna Janmashtami, marking the birth of Lord Krishna.

In Bengaluru, folk artists dressed as the deities Radha and Lord Krishna performed to local music at Rangasthala, MG Road Metro Station. The event was organized by the Art Cultural Educational Enlight Foundation.

In Cairns, the Cairns Hindu Samaj hosted a community celebration at the Serbian Cultural Centre in Edge Hill. The event featured children participating in fancy dress, monologues, devotional singing, and traditional activities such as Krishna Palna and Handi Phod. Families shared prasad and participated in religious traditions to introduce younger community members to their cultural heritage.
