The Guru Pradosh Vrat will be observed on October 8, 2026. Because the Trayodashi तिथि falls on a Thursday, this specific observance is known as Guru Pradosh, which holds significance for both Lord Shiva and Devguru Brihaspati.

According to the Hindu calendar, the auspicious Pradosh Kaal for worship begins at 5:59 PM and lasts until 8:27 PM. Devotees are encouraged to perform rituals such as bathing, wearing clean clothes, and offering water, milk, Bel leaves, and flowers to the Shivalinga. Chanting the mantra ‘Om Namah Shivaya’ is recommended to seek blessings for career, education, and marital stability.

As this observance occurs during the Ashwin month and Pitru Paksha, it is also believed to bring peace to the souls of ancestors. The Abhijit Muhurat for the day is scheduled from 11:45 AM to 12:31 PM, while Rahu Kaal will occur between 1:29 PM and 2:55 PM.
