Hindu Spiritual and Service Fair to be held in Kanpur

The Hindu Spiritual and Service Fair is scheduled to take place at Brijendra Swarup Park in Kanpur from November 26 to 30. Originally launched in Chennai in 2009, the event aims to highlight the social and charitable contributions of Hindu spiritual institutions, moving the focus beyond religious rituals to include work in education, healthcare, environmental conservation, and women’s empowerment.

More than 400 service organisations are expected to participate. The Kanpur edition will focus on six central themes: culture, service, values, respect for women, youth awakening, and national consciousness. Planned activities include spiritual and cultural events such as Ganga Aarti, daily cultural performances, and theatrical presentations. The fair also intends to connect students with social service through the ideals of Swami Vivekananda and includes proposed programmes to honour Param Vir Chakra awardees.
