Hino Motors updates Hino Ranger medium-duty truck

Hino Motors has released an updated version of its Hino Ranger medium-duty truck, featuring several enhancements aimed at improving driver safety and reducing operational workloads. Key updates include the standardization of a sign recognition system that detects road signs and alerts drivers to speed limit violations. Most models also now include a speed control system linked to road signs, which can suggest speed adjustments to the driver during cruise control operation.

Other technical improvements include redesigned frameless outer mirrors to expand visibility and improve aerodynamics, as well as the integration of a compact digital tachograph for recording time, distance, and speed. The company has also optimized the urea tank layout to simplify vehicle body modifications.

This update serves as the first step in the ARCHION Group’s integrated platform strategy. Under this initiative, Hino will supply existing platforms to Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus to strengthen the overall competitiveness of the group.
