Hipódromo de Palermo to host asado and empanada festivals

Buenos Aires is hosting significant culinary events centered on traditional grilling and empanadas at the Hipódromo de Palermo.

A Festival of Asado and Empanada is scheduled for Sunday, September 27, from 12:00 to 21:00. The event offers free admission, featuring over 30 gastronomic proposals including food trucks, grills, and various meat cuts such as vacío, ojo de bife, and entraña, alongside regional empanadas.

Looking further ahead, the inaugural Meat & Fire Buenos Aires festival is set for October 10–12, 2026. This large-scale event will occupy 20,000 square meters and feature 30 international grills. The lineup includes renowned chefs such as Pablo Rivero of Don Julio, Juan Gaffuri, and Sebastián Cardamoni, alongside international participants from Italy, Ecuador, Colombia, and Paraguay.
