HireQuest reports revenue growth and higher profitability in Q2 2026
HireQuest (Nasdaq: HQI) reported financial results for the second quarter of 2026, showing revenue growth and increased profitability. Total revenue reached $8.1 million, a 6% increase from $7.6 million in the same period last year. On a pro forma basis, which excludes the impact of the MRINetwork assets divestiture completed in early 2026, revenue increased by 16.6%.
Net income after tax rose to $2.7 million, or $0.19 per diluted share, up from $1.1 million, or $0.08 per diluted share, in the prior-year quarter. Adjusted EBITDA also saw an increase, rising to $4.6 million from $3.3 million. Franchise royalties, the company’s primary revenue source, grew 4.1% to $7.6 million, though pro forma figures indicate a 13.8% increase.
CEO Rick Hermanns noted that the results were supported by a stabilizing job market and recovering demand for temporary staffing services. He observed that demand trends strengthened toward the end of the quarter, with weekly year-over-year growth in some areas reaching approximately 12% to 13%.
