J.League 2026-27 season kicks off with key match results

The 2026-27 J.League season has commenced under a new autumn-spring schedule. In J1 action, Yokohama F. Marinos secured a 1-0 victory against Vissel Kobe at Nissan Stadium, with 16-year-old Mitsui-dera Shin scoring the decisive goal in the 9th minute. The win marks two consecutive clean sheets for Marinos, who have improved their game control following a difficult opening match.

In other J1 results, FC Tokyo earned their first win of the season by defeating JEF United Chiba 2-0 at the MUFG Stadium. Midfielder Takau Hiroki scored a decisive volley in the 67th minute to break the deadlock.

In J2, Kataller Toyama secured a dominant 4-0 victory over FC Imabari, highlighted by a long-range strike from 20-year-old Kunitake Yuto. Conversely, Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo suffered a 4-1 defeat against RB Omiya Ardija, marking the most goals conceded under manager Kawai Kenta.
