Hiroina Yamazaki discusses final arc of ‘Konya mo Serial Killer to Machiawase’
The suspense drama ‘Konya mo Serial Killer to Machiawase’, starring Yu Yokoyama and Hiroina Yamazaki, is entering its final original story arc. The series, based on the manga by Kon Iguchi and Yuji Nakamura, follows detective Shiro Isogai and Hinata Kuroi, who possesses the ability to see the number of people a killer has murdered.
Following the events of episode eight, where Hinata attempted a dangerous undercover operation and discovered the truth regarding her sister’s death, the narrative shifts toward a climax. In the upcoming ninth episode, Hinata disappears due to despair and self-destruction, prompting Isogai to search for her while new, unsettling truths regarding the underlying cases begin to emerge.
Actress Hiroina Yamazaki, who plays elite detective Kaede Tsuruoka, shared insights into her portrayal, noting that she intentionally moved away from the more feminine depiction in the original manga to portray a stronger woman navigating a male-dominated police force. She also discussed the challenges of filming in extreme summer heat.
