Hiromu Takahashi debuts as Kyoki on WWE SmackDown

Hiromu Takahashi has officially debuted on WWE SmackDown, appearing as Shinsuke Nakamura’s new tag team partner. Takahashi, a former top junior heavyweight from New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW), will compete under the new name “Kyoki,” a name for which WWE filed a trademark last month.

During his debut video package, Kyoki expressed his intent to compete for championships and face various levels of competition, stating, “Champions, legends, monsters — I don’t care. The stronger they are, the more fun I have.”

The duo is set to challenge the current WWE Tag Team Champions, the MFTs (Tama Tonga and Talla Tonga). The Tongans successfully defended their titles on the same episode of SmackDown against Damian Priest and R-Truth.
