New Japan Pro-Wrestling G1 Climax 36 Day 2 results in Sapporo

New Japan Pro‑Wrestling held the second night of its G1 Climax 36 tournament on July 18 at the Hokkaido Prefectural Sports Center (Hokkai Kitayell) in Sapporo, Japan, before an audience of 2,555. In Block A, Hirooki Goto defeated IWGP Heavyweight Champion Yota Tsuji with a 22‑minute 35‑second Goto Revolution to reach four points, while Great‑O‑Khan beat SANADA by count‑out, Konosuke Takeshita earned a win over Jake Lee with a Raging Fire, Oleg Boltin stopped Yuto‑Ice with a referee‑stoppage, and Shingo Takagi defeated Ryohei Oiwa using a Burning Dragon. In Block B, Drilla Moloney upset Global Heavyweight Champion Gabe Kidd with a Drilla Killa in 15 minutes 46 seconds. The night also saw a retirement match announcement: veteran Hiroyoshi Tenzan confirmed his August 15 bout against long‑time rival Satoshi Kojima, and veteran Hiroyoshi Tenzan (天山広吉) announced a forthcoming retirement singles match against rival Kōjima Sō at Ryōgoku on August 15. Standings were updated, with Goto leading Block A and Moloney, Aaron Wolf, Callum Newman and OSKAR each holding four points in Block B.
