Hiroshi Fujioka promotes ‘Last Survivor’ film with family

Actor Hiroshi Fujioka appeared at a promotional event at Kanda Myojin in Tokyo alongside his family members—Ai Tenjo, Maito Fujioka, Amane Tenjo, and Mai Fujioka—to pray for the success of the film ‘Last Survivor’.

The film, based on a novel by Peter Heller, depicts a desolate world following a pandemic where a pilot struggles to survive. Fujioka expressed a deep personal connection to the film, noting that the protagonist is a pilot flying a Cessna, the same type of aircraft Fujioka used when obtaining his international pilot's license. He stated that acquiring various survival skills is a way to show gratitude to his ancestors and ensure the continuity of his bloodline.

During the event, Fujioka shared the five family precepts passed down through generations: ‘Do not run away’, ‘Do not lose’, ‘Do not yield’, ‘Do not give up’, and ‘Keep challenging’. His children remarked on the similarities between the film's protagonist and their father, noting his emphasis on teaching them the strength required to survive.
