Hiroshima Toyo Carp appoints Junji Ogawa to roster management

The Hiroshima Toyo Carp have appointed Junji Ogawa to a role in roster management and team organization. Ogawa brings extensive experience from his tenure with the Yakult Swallows, where he served as manager, scout, second-team manager, head coach, and General Manager. During his time as GM, he contributed to the team's 2021 league championship and Japan Series victory.

In a press conference, Ogawa stated that his immediate priority is to assess the current state of the Carp roster. He emphasized the importance of balancing front-office operations with on-field needs, noting that trades should be executed strategically based on the specific circumstances of the team at that time.
