Hisarcık Vocational School holds agriculture and forestry safety training in Kütahya, Turkey
As part of the Kütahya Dumlupınar University "Hayat University" project, Hisarcık Meslek Yüksekokulu (Vocational School) organised a public outreach event titled “Hayat University Educative Talks: Evaluation of Occupational Accidents in Agriculture and Forestry in Hisarcık District.” The session took place in the coffeehouse of Karbasan Village, where local residents gathered.
School director Dr. Burak Kavaslar opened the programme, emphasizing the project's goal of transferring university expertise to the community. Academic staff including Ahmet Danış, Arif Emre Şen, Hüseyin Yılmaz and Sezer Çetin presented on typical workplace hazards, causes of accidents and preventive safety measures for agricultural and forest work. A question‑and‑answer segment allowed villagers to seek guidance on safe practices. The organizers said similar awareness activities will continue under the project.
The event aimed to improve occupational‑health knowledge among farmers and foresters in the Hisarcık area of Kütahya Province, Turkey.
