Hisense supplies RGB MiniLED TVs for FIFA World Cup 2026 VAR center

Hisense, the global consumer‑electronics brand, has been appointed the official television supplier for the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) system at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The company’s RGB MiniLED displays are installed at the International Broadcast Center (IBC) in Dallas, where they provide referees with high‑precision colour, contrast and image detail for replay reviews.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino visited the IBC, tested the VAR workflow on the Hisense screens and posted a video of the experience. FIFA commercial partnerships director Nick Brown said the technology “offers exceptional image quality and accuracy, demonstrating how it can support and improve key aspects of the game during the tournament.”

The deployment showcases Hisense’s RGB MiniLED technology, which uses independently controlled red, green and blue LEDs to deliver superior brightness, contrast and colour fidelity, aiming to help officials make more reliable decisions and enhance the viewing experience for millions of fans worldwide.
