HiSense to roll out Dolby Vision 2 support for 2026 TVs
HiSense has announced the rollout of support for the new Dolby Vision 2 HDR format across selected 2026 television models. This update will be delivered via firmware and applies to devices running both Google TV and VIDAA OS.
The initial rollout includes the HiSense UX, UR9, UR8, and U7 models (known as the U7 Pro in Europe). The update will be introduced progressively across markets in Europe, North America, and the Asia-Pacific region.
The new standard is available in two formats, with the premium Dolby Vision 2 Max version being prioritized for select HiSense devices. The Max version includes advanced features such as Authentic Motion, Light Sense 2, and professional-grade calibration settings. The format is designed to maintain backward compatibility with the original Dolby Vision standard. Streaming platforms including CANAL+, iQIYI, and Peacock have already announced support for the technology.
