Hisense's RGB MiniLED Displays Power FIFA World Cup 2026 Broadcasts and VAR

Hisense, an official sponsor of the FIFA World Cup 2026, is showcasing its RGB MiniLED display technology and the newly introduced Dolby Vision 2 across tournament venues and broadcast centres. The RGB MiniLED system uses independent red, green and blue light sources to deliver higher brightness, richer colour and smoother motion, while Dolby Vision 2 adds dynamic picture optimisation for a more cinematic home‑viewing experience.

The technology is deployed in the tournament’s Video Assistant Referee (VAR) room, where ultra‑high refresh‑rate monitors captured a historic VAR overturn during the United States‑Paraguay group match, allowing referees to review a dive with micrometre‑level clarity. Hundreds of RGB MiniLED units are also installed at the International Broadcast Centre in Dallas, supporting global signal distribution and production workflows. FIFA’s commercial partnerships director Nick Brown said the displays represent “a step forward towards delivering exceptional picture quality and accuracy.”

Beyond officiating, Hisense has created fan‑facing pop‑up installations at New York’s Hudson Yards, featuring 116‑inch and 85‑inch screens that let spectators interact with football‑themed content, further extending the enhanced visual experience to the public.
