Hispania acquires Fullcover to expand equestrian insurance

Hispania, a subscription agency and reinsurance broker, has acquired the Spanish underwriting agency Fullcover. The move is designed to strengthen Hispania’s presence in the equestrian insurance segment and expand its reach across the Iberian Peninsula and Latin America.

Founded in 2008, Fullcover specializes in risks associated with horses and serves over 6,000 clients. The agency has a notable history, having insured the Spanish Olympic team during several Games and receiving the Lloyd’s Best Insurance Product Award.

This acquisition marks Hispania’s second corporate operation in Portugal following its 2019 purchase of GI Seguros. Through this integration, Hispania aims to offer a consolidated specialty to brokers, while Fullcover intends to replicate its successful business model in Portuguese and Latin American markets.
