Hispanic College Football Player of the Year Watch List announced

The Hispanic Football Hall of Fame has announced the 2026 Hispanic College Football Player of the Year Watch List, featuring several top athletes of Hispanic descent.

University of Iowa wide receiver Tony Diaz was named to the list. A transfer from UTRGV, Diaz earned Freshman All-American honors and was the 2025 Southland Conference Freshman of the Year after recording 11 receiving touchdowns.

Marshall University quarterback Carlos Del Rio-Wilson was also selected as one of 20 players on the watch list. Del Rio-Wilson enters the season following a 2025 campaign where he amassed 2,704 yards of offense. He was previously named the 2026 Sun Belt Conference Preseason Offensive Player of the Year.
