Hispanic Heritage Month celebrations feature media and community events

National Hispanic Heritage Month, observed from September 15 to October 15, is being marked through various cultural activities and media highlights.

In animation and comics, notable Latino characters include Aviva Corcovado from ‘Wild Kratts’, Dora Márquez from ‘Dora the Explorer’, and Inez from ‘Cyberchase’.

Additionally, several neighborhood libraries are hosting Hispanic Heritage Month scavenger hunts. These events are scheduled across multiple locations, including the Bellevue, Northeast, Northwest One, and Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial libraries, among others.
