Historic buildings in Szczecin and Toruń undergo hotel conversions
Two major revitalization projects are underway in Poland to convert historic structures into luxury hospitality venues.
In Szczecin, a 17th-century ducal stable located near the Castle of the Pomeranian Dukes is being transformed into a hotel and restaurant by Europol Consulting. The project, designed by architect Krzysztof Bizio, will feature 20 guest rooms across two floors, including a room with a glass wall offering views of the castle. An orangery will be added to house part of the restaurant. Construction is expected to conclude in April 2027.
In Toruń, work has resumed on the redevelopment of the Old Brewery (Stary Browar) in the historic old town. After a six-month hiatus due to engineering challenges, crews are working to reinforce the foundations of neighboring tenement houses to allow for deep excavations. Once completed, the nearly 7,000 square meter complex will house a luxury hotel with 132 rooms, a restaurant, a bar, a swimming pool, and a wellness area.
