Historic European palaces converted into luxury boutique hotels

Two historic European properties have been converted into high-end boutique hotels.

In Palermo, Italy, Palazzo Balsamo has joined the Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) network. The property, a project by the Natoli Group, features 18 rooms and suites located in the city's historic center. The hotel emphasizes Sicilian materials and contemporary design, offering wellness services and curated local experiences.

In Cáceres, Spain, the Renaissance-era Palacio de Godoy has opened as a boutique hotel under the Curio Collection by Hilton. Designed by Szymon Keller, the interior project integrates contemporary art and furniture with the building's 1563 architecture, including its central courtyard and vaulted halls. The hotel is situated within a UNESCO World Heritage site.
