Historic restaurants Amparito Roca and Bar Río reopen

Several historic dining establishments have recently reopened under new management. In Madrid, the classic Amparito Roca restaurant in the Salamanca neighborhood has reopened following a month of renovations. Now under the direction of the Roostiq group, the venue aims to revitalize the space while maintaining the gastronomic legacy established by Jesús Velasco. The update includes renovated facilities, new professional staff, and refined versions of traditional dishes, such as lobster salpicón.

In Almagro, Argentina, the historic Bar Río has reopened as Bar Río Bodegón. Following its closure in late August, the establishment has transitioned into a café and bodegón. While maintaining its identity as a neighborhood meeting point, the new owners have expanded the culinary offering to include traditional bodegón classics, such as milanesas, homemade pastas, and various grilled meats.
