Historic sites host Halloween events in New York and Pennsylvania
Several historic sites in the United States are hosting Halloween-themed community events.
Philipse Manor Hall State Historic Site in Yonkers, New York, will hold activities on October 31, 2026. The schedule includes a waterfront walking tour covering local history from Indigenous origins through the 19th century, as well as a family movie marathon featuring the Legend of Sleepy Hollow. The site will also offer crafts and trick-or-treating.
In Morrisville, Pennsylvania, Pennsbury Manor will host its annual Tricks & Treats event on October 25. The free afternoon includes trick-or-treating, cider pressing demonstrations, pumpkin decorating, and heritage dancing. A notable activity will be a recreation of a 1683 witchcraft trial. The event also features a magic pumpkin show and teal pumpkins to accommodate children with food allergies.
