Historic Vehicle Festival Draws Hundreds to Valašské Meziříčí
On Saturday, 8 August, Valašské Meziříčí hosted the inaugural Setkání veteránů, a gathering of historic automobiles and motorcycles in the park of the Kinský Castle. Organized by the Museum of the Valašsko Region, the city’s cultural department and the municipal council, the free‑entry event featured about seventy pre‑1990 vehicles from Czech and foreign marques. Curator Ludmila Brousilová noted the high interest from owners, saying some entries had to be turned away due to capacity limits.
Among the highlights was a 1978‑year‑old Milan Pulc, who arrived with a rare Ferrari Dino 246 GTS. The programme also included a period‑fashion runway, an elegance competition, a concert by AV Blues and Swing, traditional craft demonstrations, a historic market, children’s activities and food inspired by the First Republic era.
