Historical anecdotes involving M. Pokora and Julia Roberts

In a series of historical anecdotes shared by Martin Schafer on bel RTL, two distinct stories involving famous figures have been highlighted.

French singer M. Pokora (Matthieu Tota) reportedly falsified his age to participate in the 2003 casting for the television show ‘Popstars’. To meet the age requirement of 18, he used a needle to alter the birth month on his identity card from September to May. While this allowed him to launch his career, such falsification is legally punishable by up to three years in prison and a 45,000 euro fine.

Additionally, the connection between actress Julia Roberts and civil rights leader Martin Luther King has been detailed. During the 1960s in Atlanta, Roberts’ parents, Walter and Betty Lou Roberts, operated a theater school that accepted the children of Coretta Scott King when other local schools refused them due to racial segregation. Despite facing intimidation and violence from the Ku Klux Klan, the Roberts family maintained their friendship with the King family, which later resulted in significant support for the Roberts family during financial hardships.
