Buenos Aires to host third Heritage Week in November
The City of Buenos Aires will hold the third edition of Heritage Week from November 2 to November 8, 2026. Organized by the Ministry of Culture, the event aims to promote the preservation of cultural assets and provide public access to both material and immaterial heritage, including architecture and local traditions.
The week features a variety of free activities across the city, such as lectures, workshops, and guided tours of historical buildings and archaeological sites. For the first time, a dedicated day for restoration will be held on November 5, offering insights into the techniques and trades used in cultural conservation.
Key locations include Palacio Ceci in Villa Devoto, which will host exhibitions and conferences, and the Escobar-Herrera-Blaquier archaeological site. Other highlights include the opening of the Alfredo Le Pera Library at the Museo Gardel and specialized tours in neighborhoods like Palermo, Villa Devoto, and Villa Santa Rita.
