Museum digital archives showcase historical German artifacts
Various German museums have released digital records of historical artifacts, including a silver medal by Philipp Heinrich Müller commemorating the imperial victory over Ottoman forces at the Battle of Slankamen in 1691. The medal depicts a hero in ancient armor and includes inscriptions regarding the loss of 25,000 men and 158 cannons by the Ottoman army.
Other archival entries include a 19th-century wood engraving of Gertrud Reichardt, identified as the first deaconess of the modern era, wearing traditional Kaiserswerth attire. Additionally, an aerial photograph of Berlin-Mitte provides a historical view of Alexanderplatz, featuring the Tietz department store, the Georgenkirche, and the Berlin City Hall.
