Historical artifacts from Westphalia and Kaiserswerth documented

Museum records from the Heimathaus Borghorst and the Fliedner Kulturstiftung Kaiserswerth highlight various historical items from German regions.

The Heimathaus Borghorst features a 1921 Notgeld coin from the Province of Westphalia. Issued during a period of extreme inflation and currency shortages following World War I, the 5 Mark bronze coin depicts the Westphalian horse on the obverse and a profile of Heinrich Friedrich Karl vom und zum Stein on the reverse.

Additionally, the Fliedner Kulturstiftung Kaiserswerth preserves a historical wood engraving of the Paul-Gerhardt-Stift in Kaiserswerth. The graphic depicts the multi-story complex and its park-like gardens, featuring deaconesses in traditional attire.
