Historical bars in Mataderos and Guadalajara prepare to reopen
Two historical dining establishments are preparing for reopenings. In Mataderos, Buenos Aires, the traditional Bar 9 de Julio is scheduled to reopen in mid-October following renovations, including new electrical installations and general cleaning. The new management, consisting of four local partners, intends to preserve the venue's identity as a 'bodegón' and its status as a 'Bar Notable.' The establishment will offer morning coffee, lunch menus, and cultural activities such as tango and folklore.
In Guadalajara, Spain, the Casino's cafeteria and restaurant on Calle Mayor will reopen to the general public on October 9. The reopening includes a renewed gastronomic proposal featuring daily, executive, and weekend special menus. Additionally, the historic Salón Santiesteban will reopen, offering a more formal dining experience, while the bar area will provide a more informal setting for social gatherings.
