Historical battles in Bosnia and activist protests in Albania

Historical accounts detail the Battle of Žuč on June 8, 1992, a strategic victory for the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The battle prevented the division of Sarajevo and strengthened the connection between the city's defenders and the Vogošća zone. The victory secured key heights and strategic positions, including Orlić and Vis, which were vital for controlling parts of Sarajevo.

The accounts also highlight the legacy of Haxho Asllani, an Albanian-origin hero of the Second Motorized Brigade “Viteška,” noting his bravery during the conflict.

In Albania, a group of activists claiming to support Gaza arrived in Vlora, ostensibly to visit and protect Sazan Island. However, upon arrival, the group declined an official tour of the island offered by the National Agency of Tourism. Instead, they redirected their mission to participate in a protest in Tirana. Tourism officials criticized the group, describing their comparison of Sazan Island to the conflict in Gaza as “grotesque, ignorant, and deeply offensive.”
