In Nepal, the death toll from devastating flash floods in the border region between Nepal and Tibet has reached 469, according to local police. Chinese authorities have evacuated over 1,000 people, including 555 tourists, from the disaster zone, though they warn of a high risk of further flooding. Former US President Donald Trump characterized the destruction as unprecedented.

In Vienna, police are searching for two suspects who stole a high-value platinum necklace from the Museum of Applied Arts (MAK). The stolen piece, which was part of the ‘Glanzstücke’ exhibition, reportedly contains 673 diamonds weighing a total of 200 carats. The necklace is believed to have been designed for the Egyptian royal family and was worn by Queen Nazli in 1939.
