Historical fairs scheduled in Poland

Several historical fairs are scheduled to take place in Poland, celebrating regional heritage through reenactments and traditional crafts.

Jarmark Jadwiżański will be held on October 4 at Leśnica Castle. This two-day event focuses on medieval history and customs. The program includes the 7th Fecht Fest fencing tournament featuring longsword combat, workshops by the Freifechter Wrocław association, and musical performances by Ażdaja and Roderyk. The fair features knightly combat shows, traditional crafts such as weaving and goldsmithing, and various street performers.

In Włodawa, the 7th Jarmark Pauliński is scheduled for August 29 and 30. The event includes guided tours of local churches, historical walks, and scientific sessions. Highlights include the “Attack of the Swedes on the Fair” reenactment, courtly dance performances, and a Polish polonaise. The festival also features various musical acts, including the Włodawa Brass Band and the group Lunaria, alongside traditional market stalls.
