Historical festivals and traditional events held in Butera and Martinsicuro

Various historical reenactment and traditional events have taken place in Italy, blending sport with cultural heritage. In Butera, the “Corsa del Primo Pari” running race featured performances by the Sbandieratori di Gela, who provided a medieval atmosphere through flag-waving displays.

In Martinsicuro, the “Segura Tempora” historical festival concluded with a Renaissance-themed celebration involving period costumes, dances, and falconry. A new addition to the festival, the first Palio dei Quartieri, saw the Campo Casone district emerge as the winner following competitions such as sack races and “Ritira la rete” games.
