In Guayaquil, Ecuador, Parque Seminario serves as a vital communal space where families maintain traditions by taking photographs near the Simón Bolívar monument and the Metropolitan Cathedral.

In San Fernando de Apure, Venezuela, the Casa de Bolívar has undergone a comprehensive restoration. The colonial building, which served as a refuge and operational headquarters for Simón Bolívar in 1818, was previously suffering from structural deterioration due to humidity and leaks. Local municipal and regional governments coordinated a specialized intervention to preserve the site’s original architectural features, including its traditional roofing and woodwork, to safeguard its status as a national monument.
