Historical landmarks in Tarnowskie Góry and Olsztyn attract interest

In Tarnowskie Góry, the Art Nouveau tenement house at Krakowska 16 stands as one of the most valuable buildings in the Silesian Voivodeship. Built in 1906 and designed by Heinrich Pisczek, the structure is notable for its distinctive mansard roof and a wooden, wave-like eave that resembles open fans. The building was commissioned by Alois Benke and underwent height adjustments during construction to comply with local municipal regulations.

In the Kraków-Częstochowa Jura region, the Royal Castle in Olsztyn near Częstochowa continues to be a significant historical site. The ruins, which date back to the 13th century, feature a prominent 35-meter cylindrical limestone tower and the Starosta Tower. Recent developments include a renovated space at the foot of the hill to accommodate tourists visiting the Eagle Nests Trail.
