Historical milestones marked in Hungary and Transylvania

Significant historical and cultural milestones are being marked in Hungary and the Transylvanian region. In Havadtő, the Reformed Church celebrated the 200th anniversary of its local church. During the jubilee service, Bishop Kolumbán Vilmos József emphasized the importance of spiritual foundations and the community's long-standing history in the region.

Simultaneously, archaeological excavations near Tisza Lake have uncovered substantial historical remains. Experts from the Kiss Pál Museum have been working since 2021 to document and preserve findings, including the floor plan of a medieval Árpád-era church. Efforts are underway to create a ruin garden to showcase the site. The excavations have also revealed numerous ancient graves within a large cemetery area, with ongoing work supported by volunteers.
