Historical military tours scheduled in Como and Pontebba
Various historical excursions focused on World War I and military history are being organized in Italy.
In Como, Slow Lake Como and the local Italian Red Cross Committee are hosting guided tours of an anti-aircraft and anti-gas bunker located in the basement of the Red Cross headquarters. Scheduled for October 11 and October 24, the visits include a tour of the Red Cross Museum, offering insights into military life and historical anecdotes from the Second World War.
Additionally, the Associazione Culturale F. Zenobi is organizing a visit to the Bombaschgraben Great War theme park in Pontebba on October 18. This open-air museum features the defensive lines and outposts built by Austro-Hungarian troops. The guided trek covers approximately 5.16 km through restored caverns and defensive positions.
