Historical properties in Constanța and Cluj-Napoca up for sale

Two significant historical properties in Romania are being prepared for sale.

In Constanța, an architectural building located on Dimitrie Bolintineanu Street is being offered for 440,000 euros. The property is situated within the ‘Ancient City of Tomis’ archaeological site. Built between 1939 and 1945, the residence consists of 10 rooms and is currently used for offices, retail, or residential purposes. Following the Ministry of Culture's decision not to exercise its right of preemption, the Constanța County Council must decide whether to proceed. The National Museum of History and Archaeology Constanța has confirmed that no active archaeological research is currently being conducted on the site.

In Cluj-Napoca, a symbolic building located at Mihai Viteazu Square No. 17 is also seeking a new owner. The building is noted for its historical significance, featuring a clock that was stopped at 12:07 on December 22, 1989, to commemorate the moment associated with the flight of Nicolae Ceaușescu during the Romanian Revolution. The site has served various roles over the decades, from a universal department store to hosting the city's first Western-style fast-food establishment.
