Historical properties in Romania undergo renovation and sale

In Brașov County, the 470-year-old Guthman Valenta Castle in Hoghiz is set for restoration following its sale for 155,000 euros last year. As a classified historical monument, the project has received approval from the Zonal Commission of Historical Monuments, though with specific requirements. The owner must conduct preventive archaeological research, expand archival studies, and adopt a simplified contemporary approach to certain decorations while maintaining the structure's Renaissance and Baroque elements.

In Sibiu County, a renovated house in the village of Bazna was recently purchased by a couple for 73,000 euros. Built around 1961, the property includes two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a plot of 1,077 square meters. The village, known for its Saxon heritage and salt springs, has gained international attention on social media due to the property's rustic charm and affordable price point.
