Historical sites in Ajalvir and Sevilla highlight Spanish heritage

Spain's historical sites in Ajalvir and Sevilla are gaining attention for their preserved heritage and hidden architectural features.

Ajalvir, located near Madrid, offers significant historical landmarks such as the Iglesia de la Purísima Concepción, which features a Mudéjar tower. The town is built upon ancient Roman settlements and is noted for its traditional gastronomy, particularly its specialized lamb and suckling pig restaurants.

In Sevilla, the Corral del Conde on Calle Santiago serves as a notable example of hidden urban spaces. Despite a discreet exterior, the site contains a large central courtyard filled with vegetation and residential buildings, maintaining much of its historical character over the decades.
