History Channel rolls out new WWII documentary series narrated by Tom Hanks
The History channel has launched fresh episodes of its documentary series on the Second World War, narrated and executive‑produced by Tom Hanks. The 20‑part series combines digitally restored archival footage, rare audio recordings and previously unseen documents to recount major battles, espionage operations, resistance movements and the political shifts that shaped the conflict.
In Brazil, History introduced a nationwide "Watch and Win" promotion to accompany the series' broadcast. Viewers can scan QR codes shown during the Monday night episodes, answer weekly multiple‑choice questions and submit a final essay for a chance to win an iPhone 17, two Amazon Kindles or other prizes. The contest runs until 31 August, with each participant limited to one entry per week and eligibility verified by CPF registration.
