Hit-Boy reveals end of musical partnership with Nas

Producer Hit-Boy has revealed that he and rapper Nas have not spoken in three years, signaling an end to their highly successful musical partnership. During a recent interview with DJ Vlad and Elliott Wilson, Hit-Boy stated that he does not anticipate the duo working together again.

Between 2020 and 2023, the pair released six collaborative projects, including the ‘King’s Disease’ trilogy and the ‘Magic’ series. Hit-Boy produced nearly every song during this period, which included the ‘King’s Disease’ album that won the Grammy for Best Rap Album in 2021.

While Hit-Boy did not disclose the specific cause of the rift, he noted that there were ‘a lot of reasons’ and described the situation as ‘pretty deep.’ This development contrasts with previous statements from both artists in late 2023, when they both suggested that further collaborations were possible.
