Hitachi Construction Machinery Europe restructures African dealer network

Hitachi Construction Machinery Europe (HCME) is restructuring its dealer network across Northwest and Central West Africa to enhance market coverage and customer support. As part of this transition, SMT will conclude its role as an authorized dealer in the affected territories at the end of the year.

HCME has appointed Machinery Distribution in Africa (MDA) as the authorized dealer for several countries, including the Republic of Congo, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, Chad, Central African Republic, Niger, Côte d'Ivoire, Cameroon, Togo, Benin, Ghana, Burkina Faso, and Mali. MDA will manage sales, aftermarket support, parts distribution, and technical services.

Movicortes will see its dealership territory expanded to include Morocco, Mauritania, Senegal, The Gambia, Sierra Leone, Guinea-Bissau, Guinea, Liberia, Cape Verde, and São Tomé and Príncipe. Additionally, HCME will establish a direct presence in Morocco and Mauritania to specifically support the mining sector, while construction equipment sales in those nations remain under Movicortes.
