Hithium unveils 4 MWh sodium-ion energy storage system
Chinese battery manufacturer Hithium has unveiled its new ∞Power N4.0MWh sodium-ion energy storage system. The system features the high-capacity ∞Cell N785Ah battery cell, which represents a significant capacity increase achieved in less than two years.
The ∞Cell N785Ah offers a lifespan of 20,000 cycles and supports discharge durations between 2 and 8 hours. It is designed to be fully compatible with Hithium’s existing 1,000 Ah lithium-ion production platforms, allowing for streamlined manufacturing scaling.
Hithium plans to begin mass production and delivery in 2027, initially targeting utility-scale storage before expanding into commercial, industrial, and residential markets. The company aims to provide a 30-year designed lifespan for its products.
