Hitit University medical students use hospital corridors due to missing building

Mehmet Tahtasız, a Yeni Party Member of Parliament for Çorum, has raised concerns regarding the lack of a morphology building for Hitit University Faculty of Medicine students. He noted that because the dedicated building has not been constructed, hospital corridors at the Erol Olçok Training and Research Hospital are being used as makeshift classrooms.

Tahtasız stated that this situation is causing space shortages for outpatient clinics. He highlighted issues in various departments, including pediatric health, intensive care, and chest diseases, as well as long wait times for oncology specialists, CT scans, and MRIs. He called upon the Ministry of Health, the Governor, and local MPs to expedite the construction of the morphology building on the South Campus, which was allocated in 2014, to alleviate pressure on the hospital.
