Hitomi and DHD showcase new broadcast technologies at IBC

At the International Broadcasting Convention (IBC) in Amsterdam, Hitomi and DHD showcased new developments in broadcast technology.

Hitomi presented Spectra, a tool for HDR colour verification that measures colour directly from the picture to ensure intended processing is maintained throughout the broadcast chain. This approach aims to identify incorrect LUTs and unintended signal path conversions. Hitomi also demonstrated MatchBox Panorama and received the TVBEurope Best of Show Award for Spectra.

DHD introduced the MX3 control console, a modular audio production system designed for high operational versatility. The MX3 utilizes a modular architecture that separates control surfaces from audio processing cores, allowing for flexible routing via Ethernet. The system supports various Audio-over-IP protocols, including AES67/Ravenna, Dante, and SMPTE 2110, to manage large channel capacities through secure standard IP networking.
