Hitscan announces Hyperlight X wireless gaming mouse
Hitscan has unveiled the Hyperlight X, an upgraded version of its Hyperlight wireless gaming mouse series. Scheduled for release on October 28, 2026, the new model maintains the symmetrical shape of its predecessor while introducing several hardware enhancements designed for competitive gaming.
Key technical upgrades include the transition from the PixArt PAW 3395 sensor to the newer PixArt PAW 3950 sensor and the integration of a Nordic nRF54L15 microcontroller. The mouse will feature custom SPDT mechanical switches intended to reduce the delay between physical clicks and in-game actions.
A significant feature is the inclusion of an 8K wireless receiver, enabling an 8,000 Hz polling rate. This allows the device to report its position to a computer up to 8,000 times per second, a substantial increase over the standard 1,000 Hz polling rate found in many gaming mice.
The Hyperlight X is designed for ultra-lightweight performance, with a body weight ranging between 35 and 37 grams depending on the choice of mouse skates. While the battery capacity has been slightly reduced from 250 mAh to 200 mAh, the company stated that firmware optimizations have been implemented to manage efficiency.
