Hitsujibungaku and Quruli collaborate on ‘Kaze wo Tsugu Mono’ anime themes

Rock bands Hitsujibungaku and Quruli have announced a collaboration for the upcoming TV anime ‘Kaze wo Tsugu Mono’, scheduled to broadcast in January 2027. The two groups co-produced the opening and ending themes for the series, as well as the theme song for the theatrical advance version set to release on November 13, 2026.

The opening theme, titled ‘Kaze wo Tsugu Mono’, will be credited to ‘Quruli + Hitsujibungaku’, while the ending theme and theatrical theme, ‘Namida no Kawa’, will be credited to ‘Hitsujibungaku + Quruli’. Both tracks feature vocals by Hitsujibungaku’s Moeka Shiozuka and will be released under Sony Music Labels.

Additionally, Shigeru Kishida of Quruli will compose the background music for the series, marking his first time handling a TV animation score. Kishida has composed over 50 tracks, incorporating diverse musical styles ranging from Gion festival music to European classical music and jazz to reflect the historical setting of the Bakumatsu period.
