Hizan, Turkey: Son killed in accidental firearm discharge

A fatal accident occurred in the Hizan district of Bitlis, Turkey, when a man's firearm discharged accidentally during maintenance. The incident took place in the Karakoyun hamlet of Ürünveren village.

The victim, identified as E. Ç., was sitting in front of his father, M. Ç., when the weapon fired. Despite being rushed to Hizan State Hospital and subsequently transferred to Bitlis Tatvan State Hospital for critical care, the young man succumbed to his injuries. Local judicial authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.
